Some thoughts on India's 66th Independence Day

Today is India's 66th Independence Day. But is this truly the "Independence" which our freedom fighters fought for.

Take a look at the very 1st lines of our constitution.

"WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens:
JUSTICE, social, economic and political;
LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;
EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all
FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation."

Today after 65 years of Independence not even these 1st lines are fulfilled, GOD only knows when the rest will be done.

"JUSTICE, social, economic and political". In 2days Independent India the corrupt politicians roam free and the common man suffer.Even if these corrupt political leaders are caught and put in jail, they get VVIP treatment there.They get AC, color TV,couches etc.These politicians make their wife or children the next political leader from their constituency and continue their political raaj.

"LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship".Today if sum1 draws a comic strip or asks questions to a CM,they go to jail,termed as terrorists.

"EQUALITY of status and of opportunity".The greatest joke of all.Now in India almost everything is reserved for SC/ST and minorities.It would not be problem if the real needy backward people got the help.But now these SC/ST certificates are bought by the people who use them to get best from better.Today a SC/ST person whose income is in lakhs sends his children to colleges giving negligible tution fees while a "General" person whose income is in thousands ask their children to quit education as he cant pay their tution fees.

"FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation.".Now in India women are molested and raped in open public and rioters kicks and breaks "Amar Jyoti Stambha".
