Oppo a Chinese smartphone manufacturer is all set to launch a phone with 50 MP camera. Yes friends you have read it correctly a massive 50 MP.
Most of us may not have heard about Oppo, but they are a fairly popular brand in China and South-East Asia. They are now all set to challenge the big names of the smart phone industry.
They have leaked out a series of specs and teaser photographs of their upcoming signature phone - Find 7, in Chinese micro blogging platform www.weibo.com. As per their previous teasers, the phone is suppose to have a 5.5-inch, 2560x1440 resolution display (along with a 5.0-inch, 1920x1080 version) and will be running on the new Snapdragon 801 chipset.
But now they have taken the playing field to a all new level, by announcing a 50 MP camera. They have also uploaded an image which has a resolution of 8160x6120 and the EXIF data clearly mentions the Oppo Find 7 as the camera name.
Although the overall camera quality is hard to judge by a single picture,this particular picture contains a lot of details with a minimum noise. But again the image can be post processed and so it is hardly a proof of the actual quality of the camera.
The phone is reported to be launched on March 19th at Beijing and we are hoping that it will come with Nokia Pureview like oversampling options.
