iOS 7.1 coming in March with fix for the frequent crash issue.

Ever since Apple rolled out its latest version of iOS, namely the iOS 7, iDevice owners from all over the world are facing the frequent crash problem. Previously it was a once a week issue, but lately it has been as common as once a day problem.

A few days back Apple finally acknowledged the issue and promised to roll out a fix for the random crash problem. The problem is supposed to be a bug in the springboard of  the iOS which makes it unstable and the iDevices with iOS7 installed gets springboard crashes. A Springboard crash, or springboarding, isn’t a full system crash. The Springboard on the iOS device is always running and is primarily responsible for managing the device’s home screen. When a Springboard crash occurs the iOS device appears to be resetting or restarting as the familiar black screen with the white Apple logo is seen. But soon the device resets itself and the login screen appears.

This fix could be incorporated in the iOS 7.1 update, which is supposed to be launched in March. At present iOS 7.1  is available in beta mode for developers for testing purpose. The current release of iOS 7 is beta 5.

Along with this fix, the update is also suppose to include a number of additional features, which I will be discussing in detail in an upcoming article. But as of now I am relieved that Apple has at last taken heed to the numerous customer complaints and have decided to fix the frequent crash issue with an upcoming update.
