A restaurant where patrons pay as per their choice or volunteer in exchange of a meal.

“It’s my life” singer Jon Bon Jovi owns a restaurant called JBJ Soul Kitchen in which the menu items do not display any prices. The patrons pay as per their wish and also can volunteer in exchange of a meal.

The restaurant was started on November 2009 as a part of Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation. At the beginning it operated out of the St. Anthony of Padua Church as a “community” restaurant on Friday Nights. The restaurant offered food and restaurant service to low income families. But soon it grew quickly and began to serve an average of 60 meals per night.

The restaurant serve organic" and healthy dishes include pork chops with fig and apple chutney and rainbow beet salad. As per several reviewers the food is delicious and the quality is better than many high end restaurants.

The food is served on community style tables, where people can make new friends and exchange new ideas. The price of a meal costs $10 but patrons can pay extra also as a donation.
