Want to have caste based reservation in private sector and total death of talent, then go ahead and vote for Congress?

Indian National Congress has once again proved how medieval their way of thinking is. When whole of India's youth wants to compete globally on the basis of merit and talents,Congress in its election manifesto has promised to make caste based reservations mandatory in private sector. This is completely opposite to the aspirations of today’s youth. It seems Congress has forgotten that over 60% of voters in this election is in 20-35 age group. Congress with its age old mindset and decade old thinking still believes that giving freebies is better, than empowering the youth so that they can be skilled and talented enough to earn on their own.

By this manifesto which promises to bring reservations in the private sector for low caste people, Congress showed its mentality, how it still believes in and practices divide and rule policy and caste based politics. This manifesto is a clear indication how congress wants to keep back India from truly becoming a developed nation and wants India to be country riddled and divided on the basis of castes and religion.

If Congress really wanted to do well for the weaker section of the society, they would have brought forth reservations in educational sector for economically weaker section of the society. A poor student who has merit should get reservation for higher education, no matter what caste or religion he may be. In the present reservation system in the educational sector, it has been proved that low caste student’s whose family income is high gets benefitted, while the poor general caste people only suffer. This has degraded the whole educational system of India and now none of the best educational institutions in India feature in the world wide best educational institutions list.

If this manifesto becomes reality, there will be more brain drain, as more and more talented graduates will leave the country only due to the reason of not getting suitable jobs. Eventually the service sector and foreign investment will take a hit as employers will be forced to taken graduates who are not skilled enough to perform the designated tasks, which will have a negative effect in the overall economy of the country.

Can the Congress leaders explain why a talented student from a poor General Caste family won’t get a job he deserves and why a rich low caste graduate with much lower merit will get that job. Is it the talented general category graduates fault that he was born in an upper caste, had he asked to be born such? When a young graduate who had worked hard to achieve top grades, gets to know that he won’t get his dream job as he belongs to a particular caste or religion, what will be his mental state. Isn't it the duty of every government to be fair to its citizens, is this an example of fairness or is this blatant partiality for vote bank politics.
