An Indian startup called FreeKall has launched a service this saturday by which free calls can be made. In order to make FreeKalls a user have to dial 080-67683693 and the call is disconnected after just one ring. Then the system calls back the user and an automated ivr prompts the user to dial the desired number. After which the call gets connected.
At present the system of FreeKall can only support 10,000 requests per second. Beyond that the system wont be able to call back the user.
FreeKall is earning revenue by making people listen to the advertisements. So, when the call is connected, the user hears an advertisement instead of a ringing tone. And at intervals of two minutes, the caller and the called party will have to pause the conversation and hear an advertisement for soaps, shampoos and the like.
As of now an unregistered user can make free calls upto three minutes, while an registered user can make free calls upto twelve minutes.
Within a month these time limits will be removed. And in the very near future this service will be available for international calls as well as for international users, once the company gets proper permits. The company has also plans to launch an app so that use can make calls with lesser steps and can capture the smartphone market.
As the system of FreeKalls works without internet, it is specially useful for people in the developing countries where internet penetration is not too great, and people don't have access to skype or viber.
The startup has got phenomenal response and their servers got crashed seven times, due to sheer volume of users. As per industry leaders this service is awesome and the idea is completely out of the box.

Nice post! Free call to India
